Islam provides powerful daily duas for protection against harm, fear, envy, unseen dangers and spiritual negativity. These duas were taught by Muhammad (s.a.v.) and are essential parts of the morning and evening adhkar.

The most well-known protection duas are:

• Ayatul Kursi
• The Last Three Surahs (Ikhlas, Falaq, Nas)
• Hasbiyallah La Ilaha Illa Huwa
• “Bismillahilladhi la yadurru…”

1. Hasbiyallah La Ilaha Illa Huwa – 7 Times

Arabic

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Transliteration

Hasbiyallāhu lā ilāha illā Huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu, wa Huwa Rabbul-‘Arshil-‘Azīm.

Meaning

“Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god except Him. I rely upon Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”

Virtue

Reciting it 7 times in the morning and evening protects from all harm.

2. Ayatul Kursi – Verse of Protection

Virtue

Reciting Ayatul Kursi:

• protects until morning/evening
• repels shaitan
• brings calmness and safety

3. Last Three Surahs – Surah Ikhlas, Falaq, Nas

Arabic (short extract)

قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

Meaning

These surahs seek protection from envy, magic, evil whispers, jinn and any unseen harm.

Virtue

Recite 3 times in the morning and evening.

4. Dua: Bismillahilladhi La Yadurru… – 3 Times

Arabic

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ، وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Meaning

“In the Name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the sky can harm. He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”

Virtue

Whoever recites this three times in the morning or evening is protected from every harm.

5. Dua of Yunus (A.S.) – For Distress and Danger

Arabic

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

Meaning

“There is no god but You; glory be to You. I am indeed among the wrongdoers.”

Virtue

A powerful dua for protection during hardship, fear, and difficulty.
Allah (c.c.) promised to answer those who recite it with sincerity.
